With their “After School Satan Club,” The Satanic Temple is hoping (praying) that parents are gullible enough to believe that Satanism teaches the same values as other religions. Let’s have a look at the 7 tenets of Satanism. I will try very hard not to laugh.
(I) One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
HAhahahaha! No line of reasoning will arrive at “compassion and empathy.” Morality and ethics are not ‘reasonable.’ Empathy with ‘all creatures’ is absurd. I can’t empathize with slugs, mosquitoes, or toads (to name just a few).
(II) The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! How is justice supposed to prevail over laws and the institutions that establish those laws? That’s like saying “ice” should prevail over freezing temperatures and refrigeration systems.
(III) One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
(stifles laughter) There are no universal laws of ‘Sacred Bodily Autonomy.’ And my body is subject to gravity, temperature, physics, fatigue, and other things besides my will.
(IV) The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one’s own.
(tries to stifle laughter again but fails) BWahahahahahHAAAA! You just told me that my body is subject to my will alone. You provided no ‘reason’ to respect the freedoms of anyone else.
(V) Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.
giggle…There are no scientific facts to support any of these tenets.
(VI) People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.
LOL! You have contradicted tenet #3 (again). My inviolable body cannot make a mistake. There is no scientific reason to rectify any harm I cause when ‘harm,’ isn’t even a scientific concept.
(VII) Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! The ‘spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice’ is a distortion of scientific facts to fit your beliefs!
Satanism is for fools. Don’t encourage your children to join foolish clubs.
(1 John 3:8) He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
