I try to give credit when a godless heathen speaks the truth…
Did you catch the true statement?
Here it is in case you missed it amid the depraved rambling:
…you are NOT your true self as a member of the Christian religion.
Amen!
And Amen!
Ditching the true self is the whole point of Christianity.
If any man is in Christ he is a new creation. The old is gone. The new has come!
The gospel is true even when it’s proclaimed by fools.
And it’s kinda fun when God uses the godless to preach His message.
Rave on, lunatics!

Anyone who thinks he/she is perfect doesn’t need Christianity.
Keep being your awesome, blameless, “authentic” selves, Atheists! Don’t let anyone tell you there’s anything to fix. 😉
Ha! Good one. Anybody ever go on a date as their authentic, true self? Like laying around wearing an old pair of sweats, and picking cheetohs out of the sofa cushions? I think not.
Also, just for the record, the whole entire world is quite convinced that I am compliant, obedient and lamb-like. I mean, like I have references and everything. 🙂
” You have become compliant, obedient, and “lamb-like”…” Oh I wish this were more true of myself and Nan considers this a negative and I would consider it high praise if I were more “lamb-like”. So I will happily be a phony, fake a counterfeit in the atheist’s eyes. I would never downplay that we can be hurt by fellow Christians but to the extent that it makes you leave the faith I have to wonder was your faith in Jesus or in the people. People are going to let you down. On a lighter note if he can speak through a donkey why not an atheist.
The entire point of Christianity is to become a new creation, to become the you that God actually created you to be without the barrier of sin getting in the way of the relationship with God that you are supposed to have, where He has communion with you. That is where real freedom is found. Without that forgiveness and that relationship there is no freedom from guilt or fear or anxiety you are left to deal with those feelings on your own or with medication, which is NOT a cure. When I read stuff like this I just wonder if these people ever actually read the Bible or they just went to church and thought it was all about a list of rules to follow, which it is not.
The passage where Jesus separates sheep from goats pops into my mind a lot. The goats are surprised. They had no idea they were despicable. They think themselves enlightened tellers of truth.
When you first read something like “If You Are A Christian …”, it almost makes sense. If you have never studied the Gospel, it may continue to make sense. We are full of ourselves. So we want to believe stuff like this: “You have abandoned your “real” life and taken on an imitation one. You have denied who you truly are … a human being with unlimited potential … to become someone who believes praying to and obeying an invisible entity makes you “special.”” That is a statement of unsupportable faith. Without God, how do we become a human being with unlimited potential? We are finite creatures stuck on a little planet. Our technology has possibilities but making it our god is lunacy.
Surely you aren’t suggesting that atheists are not thoughtful! They emphatically insist to the contrary. Why won’t you take their word for it? It’s right there in black and white. She “feels free”.
As Paul said, in whatever way the gospel is being preached, the good news is going out!
And atheists become Christians when they finally lose faith in their “feelings” of freedom for….real freedom.
