Just because you left the church doesn’t mean you can’t profit from Christian bitterness. Jesus explained that a house divided against itself cannot stand so if your congregation adheres to biblical teaching, you’ll eventually get thrown out but you’ll still be able to make money from the disgruntled folks you leave behind.
If you want to exploit God’s people, you’ll need to convince them that your religion is better than Christianity. You’ll be glad to know that’s not difficult at all. Most Christians don’t read the Bible so they have no idea what they’re supposed to believe. Just say things that appeal to their egos and they’ll throw money at you with both hands.
Don’t worry if somebody (like me) catches on to your scam. Any criticism you receive can be dismissed as hatefulness. Just tell your flock (with cartoons, preferably) that people (like me) are only worried about losing control. It is unlikely that they will ever suspect that YOU are now controlling them but if, by chance, someone gets wise, assure them that THEY are in charge of their deconstruction. Then, you can sell them T-Shirts that say so.
There are horrific, long-term consequences to making a living as a false teacher but if you’re willing to trade your soul for material wealth, fleecing gullible church people is an easy way to get rich.
(1 John 2:19) They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
