I’m tired of hearing about you being tired of ignorance. I’m guessing you consider yourself an intellectual so you should expect to encounter ignorance fairly often. Griping about anti-intellectualism is like an accountant complaining about math.
I’ve no idea what standard you use for determining who qualifies as an ‘intellectual’ which puts me in the category of ‘ignorant’ so I know there is no chance of my advice being held up as inspiration. Nevertheless, here’s what I think: Vague criticism of ‘ignorance’ is not helpful. It’s not inspirational either.
Since you didn’t see fit to identify these ‘vicious’ anti-intellectuals,” I’ll have to use my uninformed opinion to draw my own conclusions. (I know you are tired of this but you brought it on yourself.) You’re tired of people who are like you!
It is tedious when folks prop themselves up with indignant rants against things that literally NOBODY considers ‘positive traits.’ So stop doing it! No rational person thinks ‘vicious anti-intellectualism’ is a good thing. Your anti-intellectual comment is not reducing ignorance. Either specify what you find so tiresome or be quiet and go get some rest.
(Psalm 73:21) When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant; I was a brute beast before you.
