Only a little over half of Evangelicals have even heard of ‘Christian Nationalism’ and if you’re one of them, I’m not talking to you. The majority of people who have heard the term are really uneasy about it because they’ve been told it’s a dictatorship that will force everyone to adopt the Christian faith. In other words, they’re worried that Christian Nationalism might achieve the goal of evangelism.
Unless I’m mistaken (which I’m not), Christians have always tried to convert their neighbors to Christianity. Every church mission statement contains verbiage about a staunch commitment to ‘reach the lost in Jesus name.’ There are roughly a gazillion books published with instructions on how to be share your faith. Countless prayers for revival and renewal have been uttered by saints asking God to ‘bring this nation back to The Lord.’
And yet, for some reason, these same Christians who enthusiastically support ‘Jesus for all nations,’ are squeamish about ‘Jesus for America.’ They’re gung-ho to send missionaries to Haiti but terrified of sending a zealot to Washington D.C.
“John, you jerk!! It is against the law to force your religious views on other people!!!! You wouldn’t like it if the Government forced you to be a Muslim!!!!”
Right! That’s why I prefer Christian Nationalism. It’s way better than ‘Muslim Nationalism’ or ‘Pagan Nationalism’ or ‘Everyone Do As They Please Nationalism.’ The reason it’s illegal to ‘force religion on others’ is because that law was derived from the Christian faith and Christianity doesn’t make converts by force. In a Christian nation, everyone would still be free to worship as they please. Anyone with a basic grasp of Christian orthodoxy knows that people can’t be dragged to Jesus against their will.
Somebody is going to be in charge. Given a choice between someone who pledges allegiance to Jesus and someone who answers only to their own whims and ethics, it is astonishing to me that you prefer the latter. You would rather be governed by a self-worshiper than a person who believes Jesus is Lord. If that is truly your position, why are you still calling yourself a Christian?
If you really believe that the name of Jesus is the hope for mankind, why don’t you want His disciples in positions of influence? Why do you prefer political power in the hands of wicked people?
(Romans 14:11) It is written: “ ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’ ”

Christian Nationalism is one of those phrases that so few people use we don’t know what it means. Here is a definition similar what you call squeamish.

What Liberal Democrats and other Marxists do is they create straw men. They don’t like people who love their country so they pervert the meaning of the words “patriotism” and “nationalism.” They don’t like Christians who take the Bible seriously. So, they attach the word Christian to Nationalism, and they label and slander anyone who might dare to believe in God and love their country.
Liberal Democrats are bullies. It is time to regard what they do as bullying, and it is time to call them out for the cowardly bullies that they are. Good job!
It is also time to call out those Christians who fear to change the culture. If we live as Christians are supposed to live, we cannot avoid changing the culture. That is, we have an obligation both to preach the Word and to live by the Word. That involves more than just going to church on Sunday.
“Matthew 5:13-16 New American Standard Bible
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
Government reforms done right can be good works, and Christians have no excuse for not attempting such reforms and giving the glory to God.
Will we all be one mind? No, but we can love each other anyway.
