Continuing my series on evidence for the existence of God.
Naturalism is the belief that nature is the only reality.
The physical universe is all that exists.
There is nothing meta-physical or supernatural.
Everything is particles and forces.
And that makes me curious…
…about curiosity.
Why do I ask, “Why?”
I’m curious about which particles are responsible for making me “wonder”.
Maybe curiosity is a force, like gravity.
At Christmas that force compels me to shake presents under the tree.
That’s a possibility.
If it’s true, the universe is simply an enormous example of circular reasoning.
It is unintended curiosity working to explain itself.
It is like gravity going skydiving.
Understand?
No?
That’s exactly my point.
Naturalism is irrational.
Explaining particles with particles is no explanation at all.
I think curiosity is evidence that reality isn’t just particles and forces.
Above the particles there is a mind.
Above the forces is a “being” that wants us to know Him.
Curiosity is what drives us to seek God.
Along the way we discover things like fire, electricity, gravity, and the wheel.
Science is a side-effect of our God-given sense of curiosity.
A billion years of mindless evolution can’t make us wonder about our existence.
There is a simpler, better explanation for curiosity.
The purpose of man is to know God.

Hey JB, have you ever heard of Dr. Greg Bahnsen?
Naturalism is a myopic worldview that any thinking person should discard after the first thoughtful reflection. It’s anti-intellectual because it dumbs down the inquiry to what’s observable and science cannot prove that it’s true. And if one also believes in evolution then they have no reason to trust their cognitive facilities to find out what is true since survival does not serve truth.
The chemical reactions in my goat, makes it ‘think’ it’s a pet dog. My personal chemical reactions can NOT reason with the beast.
Frustration chemicals are fizzing.
Amen.
