If you’re a married Christian person looking for a way to ditch your spouse who doesn’t understand who you truly are, I’ve got some bad news. Biblical marriage requires you to keep breaking your own heart. You must force yourself to genuinely care about your spouse. Force yourself to be faithful. Force yourself to be the person they need you to be. The truth is, your marriage isn’t all about you.

You’re claiming to be a Christian so I’m assuming that prior to getting married you were made aware of God’s feelings but in case you thought marriage was a man-made concept about which God has no opinion…

(Matthew 19:4) “Haven’t you read,” [Jesus] replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

The reason it’s hard when you meet someone and your heart feels that’s the person you could spend your life with is because you’re not supposed to use your feelings or your heart to make such an important decision. When the tingles settle down and the new someone becomes the old someone, your feelings will tell you something is ‘wrong.’ Your heart isn’t looking for the love of your life. It’s searching for the lust of your life.

You have got to understand that some things are meant to come into your life, just not meant to stay. Lust is one of those things. Chasing after lust makes you toxic. You’re using (abusing) other people to satisfy your flesh. In a staggering display of cluelessness, you post banal gibberish from a godless ‘relationship expert’ trying to justify your selfishness.

(I did warn you that this would be bad news…)

If you’re going to keep posting relationship stuff from non-Christians, stop pretending to be a Christian. Pick a side and stick with it.

(Malachi 2:15) Has not the Lord made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth. “I hate divorce,” says the Lord God of Israel, “and I hate a man’s covering himself with violence as well as with his garment,” says the Lord Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.
