The NBA has recently partnered with Kim Kardashian to promote her SKIMS brand of underwear.
“I am incredibly proud of SKIMS partnership with the NBA, as it is a reflection of SKIMS growing influence on culture,” Kardashian said. “Together, SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent, and I look forward to seeing the partnership thrive.”
Personally, I am somewhat proud of the fact that all of my underwear has been purchased in bulk for less than the price of a single SKIMS item. It is a reflection of my immunity to a culture that is influenced by name brand braziers, panties, and boxer shorts.
I consider it an honor to prove false the prediction that SKIMS and the NBA will connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent. My connections aren’t founded on marketing hype. I have friends who can’t name a single NBA team. I have no clue what brand of underwear my cohorts wear and it’s not important enough for me to ask. Neither SKIMS nor the NBA is a factor in my relationships.
It’s just underwear, you guys. This deal with the NBA isn’t moving the planet toward Utopia. They are not creating Heaven on Earth. The people who are excited about SKIMS are rich folks who lack both purpose and character. I feel sorry for the people who desire membership in the 50-Dollar G-String Owner’s Club. I pity the founder of that club even more.

while I am able to at least name a couple of teams…I have no personal interest in knowing what brand of underwear they have on, but am so happy that the kardashians are so concerned that they are at least wearing some…..I really don’t see this as a “race gelling” moment however and I believe buying in bulk keeps way more Americans in jobs than even 1 pr of designer anything….
