The Boy Scouts of America is an organization for boys that also welcomes non-boys so it’s not surprising that they decided to drop the word “boy” from their name. The organization will be calling themselves, “Scouting America,” which (according to their website), “reflects the continuing efforts to welcome everyone to experience the benefits of Scouting.”
Everyone?!!
EVERYONE?!!!!
LOL!
What about the people who think one of the benefits of scouting is teaching children that boys are not the same as girls? What about those of us who believe an important lesson for all children is learning to accept that they will necessarily be excluded from some groups? What about people who thought the exclusiveness of the Boy Scouts was a benefit of scouting?
I guess we’re not the ‘everyone’ that Scouting America is trying to welcome.
The Boy Scouts drift toward insanity is not a surprise. Chaos always happens when you embrace secularism. A sure sign that critical thinking has left you is your continued efforts to welcome everybody into your group. When everyone is in your group, there is no point in calling it ‘a group.’
For those of you keeping score, this is another loss for Team Humanism but don’t expect them to realize it. Despite their defeat, they’re going to keep right on playing. Scouting America will continue to preach values and ethics for ‘all people’ from their pulpit of moral bankruptcy. There is no truth, wisdom, or life in their religion. Apart from Christ, they can do nothing.
(1 John 2:18) Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

You are a vindictive man, do you not follow Jesus?
Nah…….I can never see John having revenge on anything. ☺️
Love that statement…. “When everyone is in your group, there is no point in calling it ‘a group’ ” Well said John!
My husband is an Eagle Scout. He always took great pride in that. For a long time we supported the Boy Scouts. No longer.
