This season is filled with traditions. One of my favorites is watching people who hate God as they struggle to say something meaningful. While you can’t always have a white Christmas, you can count on the Humanists, Atheists, and Progressive Christians to provide a blizzard of babble.

The God-Haters attempt to draw a distinction between wanting a rich person’s stuff and wanting a rich person’s lifestyle. The problem is, those two things are not actually two things. It’s like saying, “Gluttony wants you to believe that what you want is fancy meats, fancy desserts, and fancy beverages but the thing that most people want that gluttons have is the ability to eat whatever they want whenever they want it. Agency over WHEN we eat is the real luxury.”

No matter how they describe it— it’s still just gluttony.

Despite their valiant attempt to disguise it with words like ‘consumerism’ and ‘leisure,’ —it’s still just bitter envy. They are filled with the same greed they condemn in the ‘rich people’ whom they despise. Can you see it?

As a huge portion of mankind’s population celebrates the arrival of God’s greatest gift, the wretched, empty vessels of Humanism (and Progressive Christianity) are left out. Their hearts are full of indignation and pride. They are not grateful for anything so they have no cause to celebrate. During Christmas, they pretend envy and jealousy (and gluttony) are virtuous and attempt to join the party. It’s traditional.

(Luke 6:45) “The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.”
