It’s possible that this is the dumbest thing anyone has ever done in the effort to ‘protect women’s sports’ (I don’t know everything that’s being done).
Listening to Caitlyn Jenner talk about the importance of separate women’s and men’s spaces is like hearing a grizzly bear lecture about marine life. It’s like a cup of coffee telling us what’s wrong with caffeinated beverages. There is no reason to give Caitlyn Jenner’s opinion about women more weight than any other male identifying as a female…or female identifying as female…or grizzly bear.
If your efforts to push biological males out of female spaces are successful (which they will NOT be), it will only prove the trans activists’ accusations to be true. The biological men claiming to be women will proclaim their oppression even more loudly. They’ll say (correctly) that our side didn’t win because we were right; we won because we were more powerful. This will cause many to question the morality of their ‘victory.’ They’ll wonder (to themselves), “Was it worth it to be right when we caused so much harm?”
The goal is not to force our point of view on society but to find truth. Truth comes from God and isn’t changed by social pressure, popular vote, or the tears of self-described ‘victims.’ The truth is frequently at odds with individual wants and wishes. The truth often prevents me from getting my way. God’s ordered universe is a much better argument than Caitlyn Jenner’s opinion.
(Job 38:4) “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone—”
