Newsflash! You actually ARE blaming the stick.
After you take that stick away, your bratty kid will find some other way to assault her neighbors. She’ll swing her backpack or ram people with her bicycle or pull their hair. You think the key to maintaining law and order is disarmament. You think your child will develop empathy and compassion when you wrestle the weapons out of her hand.
Unfortunately, the world is made of weapons so your bratty kid will never be a well-adjusted member of civilization. She’ll always be a threat because instead of helping her deal with her sociopathic instincts, you lobbied Washington for ‘sensible stick control laws.’
You posted sanctimonious messages on social media when you should have been instructing your kid about responsible stick ownership. You should have taught your kid to stop hitting people instead of demanding that my kid drop her stick too.
Good parents occasionally use sticks themselves. Bad parents blame the ‘easy access to sticks’ for their kid’s lack of discipline.
(Proverbs 23:13) Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.

Proverbs 23:13 can be abused by those who wants to justify brutialy beating their children. That why it’s very important not to disipline them out of anger ‘cuase it can turn into beating them.

Note there is another piece of foolishness in that meme. The government is not our parent. WE are the government. When someone starts abusing the rights of others, we don’t take their stick away, we lock them up so they cannot hurt anyone else.
