I got blocked by Kissing Fish Book awhile back (aka. @RogerWolseySoulCoach whom I will tag here so he can block me with that account as well) because he’s not keen on defending his statements. Many high-powered, big-time spiritual leaders don’t like to converse with insignificant, small-time people (like me) who habitually question the integrity of their big-time, high-powered teaching.
I spent some time looking for Christians who are ‘somehow offended by the idea of everyone having food, shelter, and drinkable water’ and was unable to locate even one. What I found was hundreds of ministries committed to providing food, shelter, and drinkable water to anyone who needed those things. Unless Reverend BC provides a link to the ‘First Church of Believers Offended by Generosity and Kindness,’ I’m going to say that the people he’s scolding for ‘painting a deeply uncaring picture of our faith’…don’t actually exist.
Boldly standing opposed to fictional enemies is not super impressive. Condemning non-existent villains doesn’t require any bravery, brawn, or brains. Any dope can do it (as I will demonstrate):
“If our school teachers are somehow offended by the idea of kids learning how to read, write, think, and succeed, not only is our education system deeply flawed, but it reveals that we don’t take the gospel of Jesus seriously.”
See? Easy-peasy! Any teachers out there who are offended by education, consider yourselves warned! (And anyone who is cheering my righteousness…stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.)
Please understand, Reverend, I’m not opposed to having my convictions tested. It is appropriate for believers to hold each other accountable. Even though your original statement is superfluous drivel, it can serve as a template for dispensing truthfulness (as I will demonstrate):
“If our Christianity is somehow offended by the idea of everyone having safety, love, and a livable environment before they are born, not only does this paint a deeply uncaring picture of our faith, but it also reveals that selfishness informs our beliefs more than the gospel of Jesus.”
Block away, fellas.
(Matthew 18:7) “Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!”

But John!? Don’t you remember when Tupac said it best, “Only God can judge me!!?”
I love how some “Christians” find themselves distracted over so many pathetic earthly endeavors. These are the same people that continually use phrases like, “They’ll never care for how much we know until know how much we care!”
I’m pretty sure that I was promised trouble in this world. I am also pretty sure that I was told to proclaim the One that overcame this world. That’s a whole lot better than a “Livable Wage”, don’t you think?
