You have no clue who you are.

People with titles, offices and college degrees tell you that your identity is up to you. Psychologists, psychiatrists, mystics, and witch doctors testify that you have the power to define yourself. Scientists, sorcerers, and snake oil salesmen confirm that you’re authorized to speak your authentic self into existence.

They’re wrong. Your identity is determined by your Creator….

“John, you jerk! I don’t believe in your creator!!!”

Who told you that your beliefs matter? It was the charlatans, specialists, experts, and medical professionals, wasn’t it? LOL! How much did they charge you? What did you pay for the books, pills, potions, and procedures you needed to finally become the person ‘you were born to be?’

The potter, not the pottery, decides the shape and function of the vessel. The gardener, not the vegetables, decides what grows in the garden. The carpenter, not the house, decides the shape of the structure. The chef, not the dishes, decides what appears on the menu.

God, not you, decides your form, function, and future. God, not you, decides your identity.

(Romans 9:20) But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ ” Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?
