light sea people woman

Baron Bomburst is the King of Vulgaria. The Baroness Bomburst (his Queen) hates children. The two of them employ the ‘Child Catcher’ to round up all the children and imprison them. If you’ve seen the movie, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,’ then you’ll recognize these characters.

If you haven’t seen the movie, I will explain the reason the Baron goes along with his wife’s idea to get rid of all the children is because he wants all the toys for himself. He doesn’t want to share with a bunch of rowdy, bratty kids.

If you are pro-choice, I will explain that the Baron and Baroness are NOT the good guys. They are not celebrated for their courageous decision to pursue their personal happiness. Nobody applauds them for their steadfast selfishness. These two people are called, ‘villains.’

Now, villains NEVER think of themselves as the bad guys. In the movie, when the villains are thrown into prison, they sob pitifully because they believe they are being mistreated. The Baron mourns the loss of his crown. He feels no remorse for damaging innocent souls. The Baroness shrieks and wails when the children escape their prison cells. To the end, the villains see themselves as victims.

There are many pro-choice arguments that justify villainous behavior. I mean, kids are certainly inconvenient and locking them in prison frees up a villain’s time. If the Baron had executed the children, he wouldn’t have suffered the consequences of a jail break. The Baroness is allowed to say, “My kingdom. My choice.” She is free to do what she wants with her empire. The arguments, though sound, don’t change the truth: THESE ARE THE BAD PEOPLE.

Do you know what happens when villains finally get punished? The good guys cheer! They celebrate the end of evil. The good guys eat, drink, dance, and sing. The villain, with all her selfish arguments, is completely forgotten during the party.

If you NEVER think of yourself as a villain, it’s a certainty that you’re a villain. You need to quit insisting that you’re not the bad guy. You’re hoarding all the toys and your prison is full of children. Face it! You’re a villain!

Beg God for mercy and wisdom. He will give you a new heart and increase your understanding. There is forgiveness is Jesus Christ for EVERYONE who asks for it.

(Proverbs 10:7) “The memory of the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.”

  1. I thought of the baroness as more of a victim than villian. She has a husband that executes people on a whim and for whatever reason hates his wife. My take is kids around this selfish man would make him angry and her life would be on even greater danger than it normally is. He’s so immature he only sees his wife as anyone one he is asked to share with and he hates it. Because of his immature state he can’t see her for the lovely lady she is to him as well as pretty and quite sexy. All he sees is more need to share. His wife is trying her best to keep him settled and hopefully interested in her but it doesn’t work so all she has left is to keep kids away from him so he doesn’t get upset when they want to share his toys. Still think he was crazy. I thing the baroness was lovely.
