Looks like a polar bear on some ice…but I’m no Scientist.

Science Denier!

That’s what you are if you doubt science.

Not any science though.

Just some science.

Like climate science.

The doctored statistics

The fake graphs

The erroneous computer models

…that science.

And.

At the same time.

When geological study makes you suspect

The shape of Earth’s continents…

Global sedimentary deposits…

Rapid burial of fossilized plants…

Fossilized sea creatures on mountain tops…

May be evidence for a world-wide flood…

ALSO

Makes you a science denier.

And.

At the same time.

When biology, physics and astronomy show

The complexity of molecular interaction…

The impossibility of spontaneous generation…

The failure of evolution to explain life’s diversity…

and you entertain the thought that we might be created

intentionally

by God,

You guessed it!

Science Denier!

The term was invented because

Members of Congress can’t use the word ‘imbecile’ in speeches.

You might object.

“I’m not denying Science! I use it to formulate my worldview!”

The reply comes with a condescending smile.

No serious scientist doubts climate change.

…or that Noah’s flood didn’t happen.

…or that God doesn’t exist.

We ‘Deniers’ think claims about God’s existence

are ‘Religious’ statements.

But that upsets the ‘serious’ Scientists.

Or, as I sometimes refer to them,

the Religion Deniers.

  1. Baffling, isn’t it, that we who believe in an omnipotent creator are accused of magical thinking by those who insist everything in this universe appeared out of nowhere?
    Hmmmm. Kinda like…magic.
