How’s your inner world project coming along?
Hopefully, you’re making progress.
It’s pretty important if you want to be a happy person.

Pithy memes like this really inspire me.
Sometimes, I’m tempted to blame my outer world for stuff like my house blowing away.
My outer world has hurricanes.
There are no strong winds in my inner world.
It never rains either.
The inner world I’m building, doesn’t even have houses!
It’s a world made entirely of whimsy and denial.
And two-ply happiness…
…in case blame from my outer world breaks the first layer.
That doesn’t happen often because I didn’t give my inner world a brain.
No thinking allowed in my inner world.
Just a serene ignorance of reality.
Thinking would lead to the realization that memes about “inner worlds” are useless.
That would lead to unhappiness.
I didn’t build any sadness into my inner world.
My inner world is a cascade of borderline coherent platitudes like this:

Enlightenment is easy to achieve in my inner world.
In a world without reason, anything passes for wisdom.
If this seems ridiculous to you…
…blame your outer world.

This illustrates the difference between Hindu meditation and Christian meditation. The former seeks to evacuate and deny reality, the latter seeks to fill our inner world with God and find the Truth.
Some famous guy said we have a right to pursue happiness. He didn’t say we have a right to catch it.
Haha good one 😂 What about people who go emotionally bankrupt building their inner world? They can only blame themselves if they want to stay happy!
Ps: sometimes I just like being sad! Jesus feels sadness too. Inside world is so hard to express because it’s diffucult to believe a thing so good can be true! Jesus comes close in our sadness. Psalm 147
P.p.s. We are not living in the world we were meant for! It would be wrong not to feel sad! Sadness means we’re waiting for the world to come…
Last one! I’m so sorry! 🙂
“But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him.
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. “ Job 23:8-12
There are days I think that most of the people in the world are insane. And then a sane person gives me evidence that I’m right. Thank you John! 😉
Isn’t Buddhism about rejecting all your wants and needs? Like…. internet access to stupid memes?
Whatever makes you happy, it’s about that I guess.
My inner world says it would be happiest if I smacked some stupid people in the outer world.
Would that be wrong?
