A person who claims they are, “Happily raising a family as an atheist,” posted a picture of their living room decked out in Christmas trimmings.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for watching the farcical habits of godless people. Those who proudly (and sometimes loudly) claim science and reason over superstition will gleefully participate in celebrating our Holiday traditions in fantastical, magical ways.
These enlightened intellectuals, who scoff at the existence of an ‘invisible sky fairy’ regale their children with tales of an invisible fat man who lives in the North Pole. They refuse to thank God for giving them life but give Santa credit for bringing them chocolate.
“John, you jerk! I don’t really believe in Santa!! It’s just a fun thing to do during the Holidays!! I don’t need to believe in your god to celebrate Christmas!!!”
I know. I know. You don’t believe in the supernatural. Yet you justify saying ‘Happy Holidays’ in the ‘spirit’ of the season; not the ‘Science’ of the season. It’s not the laws of Physics that bring peace on Earth. You can’t see glad tidings with your microscope but you know these things are real as you deny them with your lying lips.
You put up the tree and hang the lights and tell yourself there’s no such thing as magic. And lo, your holiday celebration is every bit as mystical as any Jesus freak’s. You didn’t remove the magic simply by ignoring the manger. You have replaced the ‘invisible sky fairy’ with an ‘invisible spirit of good will.’ That’s because you were created in the image of God and your soul longs to connect with something bigger (and more real) than this Earth. Deep down, in the place you’re too proud to admit exists, you know that spirits are real. You’ve fashioned a false god from bits and pieces of holiday lore and spend the month of December worshiping it.
Of course you’ll deny this (probably with some swear words) but your actions betray you. Your glittering Christmas tree tells me that your soul is crying out to its Creator. You don’t believe in Santa Claus but you obviously believe in an invisible ‘something.’
(Titus 1:15) To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

You must be desperately looking for things to write about. Why not try to explain why Christians are pro-life yet worship their guns that take lives every day by malice or accident?
You must be desperately looking for someone to pay attention to you. Why not ditch your useless religion and ask God to give you wisdom?
