This dude reviewed a book that I read!

But that doesn’t stop the reviewer from gushing over it!

Selective skepticism is bliss.

  1. I tend not to listen to people who boast over things they did nothing to receive. To claim human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe is to take credit for something you neither created nor earned.

People who say things like, “I believe human intelligence is the most powerful force in the universe,” tend to make me a bit nervous. Often you’ll find them out conducting weird genetic experiments and trying to improve the design of the human race. I once had a discussion with a guy that amounted to, “human intelligence is the best thing since sliced bread and once we merge man and machine erasing all that is human about him we will have created a vastly superior product.” So like, the best way to honor human intelligence is to…..completely annihilate ourselves.
