Time to stop hiding, dimwits.
Stand up and let me get a look at you.
I’ve heard from several trustworthy sources that dimwits are out there being dimwitted.
NAN: There are those in the Christian world who strongly refute science and prefer to replace it with a belief in a supernatural creator who, according to them, is in control of everything that happens and/or has happened.
This is shockingly stupid!
Who are these Christians? Who replaces “science” with a supernatural creator?
NAN: Some go so far as to deny things about this world/earth that science has proven (with incontrovertible evidence) to be true. As an example, they will deny the earth is a sphere or that it revolves around the sun. Further, they will deny evolution and cling to their belief that Adam and his rib-wife were the first humans to exist on this planet.
NAN: One can’t help but wonder — since so many choose to cling to beliefs prevalent during biblical times, why then do they not live like the Amish people, who reject “modern conveniences” and live a more simple life?
One can’t help but wonder…so I’ll clear it up for ya!
God owns science. He gave us the ability to investigate and understand how the world works. Science today works just like it did during biblical times. “Modern conveniences” are not relevant to Christianity.
SKLYJD: If atheists don’t know science and God knows it all, ditch everything technical and reject what science has discovered for the world such as your hi tech phones, computers, medicines and everything else, why not back up your obviously strong narrow minded anti-atheist ideals and go back to living in the time of Jesus where everything was just fine, put on your sandals and robes, stone a few infidels, whip your slaves and rape your wife as this was all normal behaviour back then.
NAN: It seems apparent that when push comes to shove, the primary reason behind a belief in a supernatural entity is because it assuages one’s conscience, i.e., it makes one “feel good.” And so long as it doesn’t take away the enjoyments offered by modern living, it’s totally acceptable to hold onto the archaic beliefs put forth in an 2000+ year old book.
It seems apparent that disbelief in a supernatural entity strokes the ego of the disbeliever, i.e., it makes atheists “feel smart”.
The archaic beliefs put forth in a 2000+ year old book are NOT science. Only a dimwit would suggest that Christianity requires rejecting all knowledge that has been discovered after the 1st century.

Nan is doing what I call a plea bargain. That’s where you decide every Christian on the planet is a dimwit, so I’ll just cure my own dimwittery by not being a Christian. All the other dimwits are way dumber than me. It doesn’t work, on account of the fact that you always just leave “Christian” part behind and take the all dimwttery with you.
Also, God is a bit like your mom. Just because all the other morons were jumping off the bridge, doesn’t excuse YOU. We aren’t grading dimwits on a curve here.
Known as the founder of the scientific method, Sir Francis Bacon noted ” A little science estranges a man from God;
a lot of science brings him back.” also stated ” A little philosophy inclineth man’s mind to atheism, but depth in philosophy bringeth men’s minds about to religion.” I am sure those noted above will say he was misquoted. Sounds like Nan and the bunch have a little science.
Well said, JB! However I would contend that technology is inextricably bound up with biblical principles. Principles such as truth, evidence, math, absolutes. The atheist gives up all these things when they reject the creator of the universe. But wait, they use them! Yup. They steal from Christianity science and everything pertaining to science because they can’t live without it. They can’t get through one moment of one day without Christianity and Christian principles. How do I know this? Let me answer scientifically: the atheist is going to try with blue face to refute what I’ve said. In the recent past we’ve seen evidence of them decrying atrocities perpetrated (albeit imagined) by Christianity. This is called the principal of uniformity btw, the future will be like the past. If they were truly and internally consistent with their atheist worldview, then they would give up complaining about said atrocities because such atrocities don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. “Who cares?”, or “so what?” is the proper atheistic response.
No my dear atheist, it is YOU who must give up technology and all the advances that we christians gave to you. Like telecommunications for example. There once was a reformed, post millennial Christian who dared dream that perhaps we could send information across those fancy new electrical wires. He was laughed out of the room by his colleagues. He got to work anyway and invented, yes INVENTED, that’s what Christians do, a way to send dots and dashes across the miles by way of electrical signals. This man’s name was Samuel Morris. So don’t bother thanking us for your cellphones, atheists. According to you it really doesn’t matter
I understand your point. Atheism has no rational reason for doing science at all. If the universe is random, why should it make sense? Why should anything be discoverable?
I read this post yesterday and couldn’t believe the utter fallaciousness of the argument. As you said, just who are these “Christians?” Certainly not a Christianity I recognize. Makes me wonder if these angry ex’s keep erecting these straw men to assuage their own guilt. Hmmmmm….
Deconverts are desperate to demonstrate that leaving “religion” is rational. They are oblivious to the consequences of turning away from God, who is the source of all wisdom and rationality.
