Here’s another in my popular series of red letter commentary.
This dialogue was captured from a Facebook group.
The post was a plea for help dismantling an 11-year old boy’s rebuttal of one of Stephen Hawking’s claims.
I included the video at the bottom of the post in case you want to see what the fuss is about.
When the moderators make their 16,000 member group private so I can’t get screen shots anymore…
…I’ll make a certificate of achievement available for download by anyone who comments.

Below is the video of the “indoctrinated” and “brainwashed” child.

Well, you’ve been banned from the group.
But the group itself still isn’t private…
So…you can still get screenshots! No Certificate of Achievement yet. 🙂
Ha! I saw that video, then I promptly just covered my eyes to all the commentary. So the problem with atheists is that they’re too intelligent. Bear with me on that, but the bible says “come to me like little child,” and part of that is probably because kids often have a purity of heart and a curiousity that accepts that we just don’t know everything there is to know. Not true of atheists, they just know everything, all the time. So,if you’re actually a genuinely smart person, you will come to value and appreciate the wisdom to be found in the bible. Intelligence is not wisdom, it is nothing more than the ability to over think up new and inventive ways to get yourself into a great deal of trouble. Ask King Solomon. He eventually figured it out.
A few of those comments mention the idea that,”everyone is a believer at his age.” Precisely. It’s when we grow up and become arrogant, putting all of our faith in our own understanding, that we tend to get stupider.
It’s so refreshing to see a young man who actually spends time using the mind to answer questions, to think about things without blindly accepting what he has been told. Perhaps, maybe, just maybe, he hasn’t accepted religious indoctrination after all…maybe he thought about things, using logic and reasoning, and came to the conclusion on his own.
A wise person once told me I cannot refute the opposition’s argument unless I can EXPLAIN it.
If you cannot argue the other side, you have no right to hold your opinion.
