  1. By the way, I’m the John who, according to your comments above, probably made up my comment because I’m an “arrogant know-it-all.”

    1. Nice to meet you.
Do you want to let me take a crack at the questions you asked your Pastor when you began your “spiritual decline” or have you got it all figured out now?

  2. You are over-generalizing here. I’m not a believer, but I don’t indoctrinate my children. In fact, two of them are going to church camp next week. I don’t like some of the things they’ll be taught, but they can decide for themselves. I love them, care for them, teach them right from wrong, all without terrifying them with stories of hell.

    1. Every parent indoctrinates their children.
Why in the world would you send your kids to church camp? Why not send them to atheist camp?

  3. Here, let me fix that for you, “Atheism is child abuse. Teaching a child to uncritically accept your non religious lies is to teach them how not to think.” Also, how not to feel, how not to perceive, and how not to process the truth of the world around them. At best it is emotional, psychological, and spiritual abuse. You are projecting your own emotional needs onto a child and unfairly burdening them with your own unresolved issues.

  4. As one my commenters said about KIA. His comments border on creepy. Makes me shutter to think what kind of pastor he was (if he was). And atheists have such a healthy worldview for children, full of hope and purpose. LOL!

“Come on, little ones, gather round the camp fire. Elder Dawkins will tell us an inspiring bed time story…”

[A dark hooded figure approaches the fire, sits down, and after a few seconds of silence and without looking up, begins speaking in a somber deadpan monotone…] “The universe…blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky and you won’t find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at the bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good. Nothing but blind, pitiless, indifference. DNA neither knows nor cares. DNA just is. And we dance to its music.” (From “River Out of Eden”)

(I picture kids sobbing uncontrollably at this point, some running off into the dark of night never to be see again).

    1. Ah, yes… “creepy.”

That is PRECISELY the word my husband used when I read a conversation to him, in which KIA asked me, “Why don’t you ever talk about your husband on your blog?… You know, the father of your children? I hope you don’t mind me asking, but was he your first?”

      Yep.
KIA claimed he was just teaching me a lesson because I started asking probing questions first. I asked why he was deleting certain posts and conversations, so I deserved to be asked about my sexual history.

      So, yeah… creepy…

    2. I don’t believe he was ever in ministry. There is no way any church would employ him in any capacity other than maintenance. The reason he never posts personal information is because he is lying about everything. The atheists who refuse to show their faces do so out of cowardice. All their talk of open mindedness and enlightenment is a smokescreen. They won’t even put pictures of themselves on the books they write.
