On this planet (Earth), you are always going to be wrong when you are motivated by greed, envy, or jealousy. Championing the oppressed, caring for the poor, and raising awareness for the marginalized is just a smoke screen. You’re trying to disguise your bitterness as righteousness. It won’t work. I can always tell when your concern for others is not genuine. Would you like to know how?
I just look to see if you are fixing the problem by using your own resources or someone else’s.
You’re not a hero in my book when all you’ve done is judge rich people for not sharing enough of their wealth. First, you have no idea what rich people do with their money. And second, if rich people gave every dime they have to the poor, that makes THEM the good guys, not you. You don’t get to take credit for anyone else’s generosity.
Oh, before I forget…Demanding benefits and minimum wages on behalf of other people is also just a display of greed and envy. Jealous anger doesn’t give you the right to tell an employer how to run a business. If you truly cared about the employees being abused by their boss, you would start a business and hire them yourself. Compassionate people take action.
Did you know that your social media posts about billionaires hording their wealth while poor people starve—don’t actually feed any poor people? It’s true! There is no nutritional value in raging against rich folks. Your jealous rants contain no calories. So you’re not doing any more for marginalized people that the rich people you detest.
Hold on! It gets worse!
The rich people aren’t posting memes about you. They aren’t scolding you for doing nothing. Billionaires don’t ridicule you for your futile activism. Wealthy people don’t spend their time monitoring the activity of unsuccessful people. Did you know that? The billionaires don’t read your hateful memes! You’re making the world more bleak and ugly for the people all around you while having ZERO impact on the oppressed, marginalized people you’re claiming to help.
When your envy and jealousy reach peak levels, I hear you say, “Tax the rich!” I’m telling you this so you don’t lay your head on your pillow tonight congratulating yourself for a noble job well done. Extorting resources from other people doesn’t make you a good person. Dictating the terms of compassion for everyone but yourself is petty, obnoxious, and sinful.
“Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.” (Proverbs 15:16)
