Have you ever tried to write an entire post without making any statements?

Did you know an entire method of TEACHING was developed by Socrates, in which the INSTRUCTOR spends the whole lesson asking questions? (Have you heard of the Socratic Method?)

Do you believe that I’m not expressing a point of view simply because I’m not using periods? Do you assume questions are free from biases and assumptions?

Do you know what it means to have plausible deniability? Can you understand the benefits of disguising criticisms as earnest questions? Do you agree that my lack of certainty makes me seem humble? Isn’t it nicer to be unsure?

You know how easy it is to turn statements into questions, right?

Would you dare accuse me of being inauthentic? Don’t you know that would make you look judgmental and mean? Are you starting to understand how questions can be powerful tools for manipulating conversations?

Do you think unwise people would feel safer sharing bad ideas with me, if they knew I’d ask a question instead of blowing up their bad idea?

Do you think Sinners will love to gather at my table now?

Or have I made my point?

Christians: can we please start BOLDLY agreeing with God and saying what is true, instead of hiding our statements behind a veil of uncertainty?

Can we stop spreading doubt and calling it “winsome?” Can we stop confusing humility with weakness?

Is there a way for Westerners to wake up and realize we are willing to fight much harder (louder and longer) for the social Customs of Man than for the Laws of God???

Can we (please?) test the spirits and speak with conviction and judge with righteousness, the way Jesus told us to do?

Or is that too much to ask?

(Proverbs 8:6) My mouth speaks what is true,

for my lips detest wickedness.

All the words of my mouth are just;

none of them is crooked or perverse.

To the discerning all of them are right;

they are faultless to those who have knowledge.
