The President notably did not mention the plight of federal workers going without paychecks, some of whom fear they may not be able to make mortgage, rent or car payments, or are relying on food banks.

Federal workers are living like ordinary citizens!
This should not be.
The primary purpose of government is to provide paychecks for bureaucrats.
Public servants aren’t trained to be self-sufficient.
They’re trained to rely entirely on the public.
The rank and file federal worker can’t survive a month on his own.
The government shutdown could be a wake-up call for the wise.
You’re putting your trust in the wrong place.
The Government isn’t God.
Unemployment is something that happens to people every day.
Did you think you were immune just because you work for Uncle Sam?
Do you think your job is more important than the interests of our whole country?
It’s not.
If the government shutdown is creating hardship for you, go find another job.
There are LOTS of jobs out there.
If you’re going to hang on to your cushy, government gig that’s okay too.
But I’m not going to buy a coffee mug for you.

If you want another laugh, read the reviews for the mugs from the snowflakes. If you knew nothing about government bureaucracy, the whining from these entitled people would teach much.
