Apparently, Mike Pence suffered mistreatment while attending a broadway play.
Mistreatment meaning, ‘somebody said something to him’.
Donald Trump has demanded an apology.
Apology meaning, ‘say you’re sorry for saying something to somebody’.
Trump is not super-great at ignoring stuff.
If micro-aggressions are liquid, Trump is a Sham-Wow.
Were I a betting man, I’d wager that Mike Pence will survive the verbal ‘assault’.
In fact, he probably won’t even require medical treatment.
And that’s all I have to say on the subject.
….
….
…of course that’s not true.
I have something else to say.
To the folks in the Hamilton production.
And anyoneย in
“…the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that [Mike Pence] new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights.”
Settle down.
Your anxiousness isย just going to make you gassy.
Take a moment and notice what happened right before your eyes.
You publicly voiced a concern (criticism?) of a powerful political figure.
Do you know what happens in other countries to people like you?
Hint: They aren’t performing on stage the next night.
But this is ‘diverse America’ where you can say whatever you want!
You can turn your loathing of certain political ideology into a Broadway production.
The audience can ‘boo’ย another member of the audience…
…who happens to be VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES…
…and nobody disappears, never to be heard from again.
Yay! America!
Mike Pence ‘upheld your inalienable rights’ when he left the theater without arresting you.
Hey!
Maybe you could give him a thank-you speech after the show tonight?
Ha ha ha ha haaaa haaaaa!
Whew!
I’m a really good comedian.

Wait– you’re telling me a group of actors was a little….dramatic?!?!? You mean they heard a politician was in the audience and decided to put on a small production of another sort?
I’m shocked. ๐
Meanwhile, for those who haven’t heard Pence’s response to the whole thing, here’s a quote: “I wasn’t offended…[that’s] what freedom sounds like.”
Boom.
Somebody should put THAT on a black background. ๐

They went low; he went high. ๐
They were exercising their “American privilege.” And being unprofessional. And ridiculous. How ironic that while portraying our country’s Founders, who put their lives on the line for this nation (John Hancock doing so in LARGE FONT), they think that bullying an audience member is doing so much. ๐
