This sign has given some of my Christian brethren heartache.

You may consider it to be, “divisive”, “unloving”, “inappropriate”, or “mean”.   If that’s your position, I am curious to find out if you feel just as strongly about the following signs:

Generally speaking, church signs are irrelevant.  Newspapers made church signs obsolete. The internet made newspapers obsolete.  If you’re truly wounded by messages on church signs, I urge you to log off the internet and find a counselor to help you learn basic coping skills. You should also avoid: fortune cookies, Magic 8 Balls, billboards, and Wal-Mart.

If you’re still here, I will assume you understand the point I’m making. “Love or Leave It,” is a sentiment that has been around for a long time. It is not hateful, divisive, or un-Christian in any way whatsoever.  It is an invitation to exercise your God given right to choose.

The people who claim this offends them are either dishonest or insane. In either case, you are a fool if you give any credence to their ranting.
