Congratulations to you Preachers of Passion who encouraged us to follow our hearts. We are taking your advice and it’s truly changing our civilization into something…um…else. We trust our feelings to guide us and the results are spectacular.

Huge numbers of people are following their hearts into the street to throw bricks, torch cars, and assault police officers. Their feelings tell them that violence is their only option. In their hearts, they are heroic crusaders.

Other people are following their hearts into the street to do combat with the crusaders. Two warring tribes, equally convinced that they represent the Greater Good. Bullets and bottles fly. Bodies hit the pavement. A testimony to your sage advice that we can, “Look within to find truth.”

In the schools, children are taught that their heart will forge their identity. We’re teaching youngsters that they can be whatever they want. Their feelings are the only truth and they feel anxious, afraid, and alone. It is your influence that helps them swallow a handful of pills on the dark night when their hearts tell them that life isn’t worth living.

A few other things that come from following the heart are domestic violence, political corruption, child abuse, slavery, greed, divorce, and abortion. All selfishness comes from the heart. You didn’t know that, did you?

You told us to follow our hearts because you thought the heart was capable of love, kindness, and gentleness but those things come from God’s spirit. The heart gets in the way of goodness. The heart is the enemy of righteousness. You’ve told us to follow the source of all evil in the world and we’re doing it. Again, congratulations!

You’ve made a big difference.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?”
