Way back in history we put criminals in jail.
It seemed like a good idea way back in history.
Because way back in history there were only a few criminals.
But now…
Now we are the most incarcerated country in the world!
That’s what this article says.
The problem is described as ‘mass incarceration’.
The term is chilling, isn’t it?
Nobody’s safe!
Any one of us could be tossed in the clink.
Anytime.
For any reason.
So a rich, celebrity singer wants to change all that.
Like Batman or Superman, he’s fighting injustice.
…by performing concerts in prison
…and holding press conferences with Texas legislators about prison.
…and raising awareness that some people live in prison.
The project is called ‘Free America’.
Because we’ll never be truly free
…as long as our criminals are locked-up.
The injustice of our justice system is just awful.
The vast majority of the prison population is made up of criminals.
Coincidence?
No!
Law enforcement officials don’t even try to hide it!
An anonymous police officer was quoted as saying,
“If you break the law, we’ll try to put you in jail”
That, ladies and gentlemen, is discrimination.
And it’s coming to an end.
Because a singer is all up in a whirl about it.
He’s taking action!
There will be concerts!
There will be press conferences!
And mark my words…
…America will BE FREE!

I just don’t know what I would do without all the snarky people in the world. Thank you. 🙂
Scary… :/
Not sure whether to laugh or cry. All the real/worthwhile “causes” and this is what he chooses. Dumb and Dumber isn’t just a movie; it’s our new national motto – oy.
