I commented under the prose from Tennessee Williams, “This doesn’t give credit or thanks to the source of love which is outside of ourselves and does not need to be saved from burning buildings.”

The page owner who posted it responded, “Its also inside of ourselves. And God is love. Love is God by another name. All credit is there.”

Yes. He actually said that THE SOURCE of love is outside of us AND inside of us. Then he said that Love is just another name for God so ‘all credit is there.’ The guy who said this has books for sale. Instead of mentioning his name, I’ll just call him, “Author” and you’ll know who I’m talking about. Go check out his books!

Another person responded, “IT’S STILL LOVE! Does EVERYTHING have to be referenced to God? I love God and can’t tolerate being preached at.”

Did you catch that? A person who loves God is annoyed by too many God references. I mean, do we have to make God the center of EVERYTHING?!! Can’t we just talk about the beauty of “love” and leave God out of it?!!!!

And then another person said, “The fundamental idea of God is in every man woman and child. GOD IS LOVE. Therefore the statement you made lacks integrity. Have a blessed day. May mercy peace and grace be multiplied unto us.”

Follow along if you can…The IDEA of God is in you and that’s the same as GOD being inside of you and God IS love, therefore Love is inside of you so my statement about Love being outside of us lacks integrity. Get it?

What’s happening at this very moment is an aggressive attempt to erase Jesus from Christianity. Christians of every denominational stripe are joining hands with devout opponents of devoutness to cleanse Christianity of all traces of Christ.

We know God is love because God told us that Himself. We also know that we are not God (though pompous authors and commenters won’t admit it). So we’re not creating the love that saves us by being parents, or teachers, or artists, or pompous authors and commenters. We’re just proclaiming ourselves to be gods.

(1 John 4:7) Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
