When it comes to community activism,
You can’t beat the Catholics.
Here’s another example of the Church’s tireless effort to serve humanity.
The headline for the article reads:
“San Francisco Catholic Church Installs Watering System to Drench Homeless People While They Sleep”
They’re giving needy people SHOWERS!
Homeless folks need only nestle into the church doorways.
Nod off to sleep under the “No Trespassing” sign and…
…when they wake up…
…they’ve been rinsed clean by an overhead faucet.
The church charges nothing for the service.
I ‘d like to see the system updated.
Expand the radius of the spray.
So people don’t have to crowd into the archways.
Because some homeless people use wheelchairs or walkers.
It’s difficult to get them into small doorway spaces.
But I’m sure that will never happen.
Because the haters have already swung into action.
There are some who opposes giving hygiene to those who most desperately need it.
In response to their angry outcry…
…the church has shut down the shower system.
…and apologized for even offering the service.
Indeed.
The apology should come from those who shut it down.
They have showers.
They have houses.
But they don’t want homeless people to have them.
What drives people to such depths of evil?
