These days it’s difficult to know you’re wicked.

Everywhere you look are memes telling you that you’re good.

The local church is telling you that God loves you.

Which is true.

The church also tells you that your sins are forgiven.

That’s the problem.

You don’t believe you need to be forgiven.

You haven’t sinned.

Right?

Well, the Democratic party has helpfully provided us with a test to determine your personal wickedness.

It’s a simple Yes/No question:

“Is it wrong to kill babies after they are born?” (Yes) or (No)

If your answer is anything other than “Yes”…You are wicked.

Unless you are a zombie, that shouldn’t surprise you.

In the movies, “the good guys” never kill children.

Here’s what may surprise you:

You’re also wicked when you refuse to answer the question.

You’re dodging your own conscience.

The voice inside you is shrieking the correct answer.

You’re making excuses for evil.

Picture a group of witches stirring a boiling cauldron full of babies.

One witch says, “I don’t support this.”

Another witch responds, “Republicans do evil too.”

That other witch is YOU.

If you sincerely don’t comprehend this metaphor…You’re wicked.

You can’t tell good from evil.

The word for you is “reprobate”.

And you might be beyond salvation.

Because you won’t ask for salvation.

Right?

You don’t think you need it.

I’m telling you you’re wrong.

Your own conscience is telling you too.

Tell God you’re sorry.

Ask God to forgive you.

Ask Him to give you the power to discern good from evil.

Otherwise, you are doomed.

On judgment day it won’t help you to tell God, “The Republicans were sinners too!”

  1. The word “abortion” is too sanitized. Lots of people don’t even know what it means beyond “something done in a clinic.”
If we change every instance of the word “abortion” to ‘intentionally stopping the heart of a young human,” then maybe those on the fence would find it less complicated?

      1. “We believe that intentionally stopping the heart of young humans must be part of comprehensive women’s health care… Therefore, we support the repeal of… [legislation] that bars Americans from legally stopping the heart of young humans throughout the developing world.”

        Hmm…
There’s nothing in the party platform that says “this is a secondary issue which some of our members disagree about.”
It says WE believe a crucial part of healthcare involves INTENTIONALLY ending a baby’s life.

Many Americans like to believe that they wouldn’t have voted for the Nazis 70 years ago, in Germany. But I have reason to suspect: if the Nazis promised to rebuild streets and strengthen the economy, then many of us would have gladly looked the other way when the smell of burning flesh wafted through the air.
“It’s complicated!” we would have said to any Pastor who tried to make us feel guilty for shaking hands with murderers.
“There are plenty of reasons why a Christian might still support SOME of what Hitler stands for! Don’t be so quick to call us evil!”

      2. The wicked comprehend. They don’t care. To them, killing does not matter because life does not matter. Why would something they consider an accident of random chemical processes matter?

  2. Hmmm, John, and here we have Christians supporting Trump who says he doesn’t need to be forgiven. And always good to see someone like you insist that if you don’t agree with him, you are “wicked”. Nice show of making your god in your image, JB. it’s always curious to see Christians insist that their and only their version of Christianity is the right aka only they know what is good and evil and that everyone is evil if they don’t agree. Of course, you can’t even convince each other of this. How can you show that your version is the only right one?

    1. Hmmm, Vel, let’s see if you’ve got any convictions.
Is it wrong to kill children after they’re born?

    2. Any so-called version of Christianity that is in favour of murdering babies is closer to satanism than it is to biblical Christianity. Anybody who has read the Bible and can’t come to that conclusion has severe mental issues.

      1. Vel has disappeared back under her bridge.
Trump said something about not asking God to forgive him during the campaign.

  3. First of all: Yes.

Second of all: Your witch metaphor is virtue signaling fake news :P. What I hear your saying in your metaphor is the following: Refraining from taking a vocal stance against abortion is an evil act & actively attempting to initiate into public office individuals identifying in the same group that has leaders who support abortion is an evil act [that was difficult to write, as there are several degrees of separation there].

I can agree with that to the extent you can agree with the “red herring” of the “Voting republican is evil, too”. I hesitate to call it a true red herring, because I believe the intent is to refine the word “evil/wicked” – is it comparative or just descriptive?

Finally of all: I self identify as wicked, anyway (at least in a descriptive manner ^_^)

    1. You are mistaken about the meaning of the metaphor. I’m not saying it’s evil to refrain from taking a vocal stance against abortion. I’m saying hypocrisy is evil.
Read the comments on my Facebook page and you’ll see a number of people who claimed to be “against abortion” then scolded me for saying they shouldn’t vote Democrat. Nobody forced them to comment. They were free to refrain from taking a vocal stance. But their argument that “Republicans also do bad things” is simply irrelevant. The Republican platform is opposed to abortion. Are there Republicans who don’t vote in agreement with that platform? Of course! And that hypocrisy is evil.

      1. Okay – I guess I take issue with the hypocrisy part, then. I understand that if you accept the premise “To vote for any democrat is to vote in favor of abortion,” then yes, I can see why you’d say that is hypocrisy.

I did read some of the facebook comments – while I think I agree with some of their sentiment, they are not very articulate or nuanced (as they are demanding you be nuanced ^_^).

The “bad Republican” argument isn’t entirely irrelevant – unless you accept that party platform is the only significant factor in a vote. While you (seem to?) accept that, others do not and that’s where the big divide seems to be happening in this conversation (and get derailed very quickly).

I’m glad you clarified with your final statement about Republican Hypocrisy. In my mind, I don’t see that as necessarily hypocrisy, because I don’t assume that Republican means prolife. Therefore, a prochoice Republican may indeed be wicked, but not because he’s hypocritical (in that specific case).
