A godless lunatic said this to me: “I don’t accept any claim or proposition on faith.”
Of course, he expects me to accept this claim on faith.
Godless lunatics don’t like to admit they have faith because they can’t stand the thought of having something in common with brainwashed, dimwitted, superstitious morons like me. They think ‘faith’ enables me to believe unreasonable things. They never realize that ‘faith’ is necessary for me to believe reasonable things too.
Most of the knowledge I’ve collected in my life is hearsay, passed on by people I haven’t met. I can’t offer irrefutable evidence that George Washington ever existed. I can’t prove the Aztecs existed either. I have no ‘evidence’ that the sun will rise tomorrow. If I throw out all the data that I cannot personally verify, I would be a mindless husk in a padded cell.
“John, you jerk! I don’t need faith when I have science! There is a reasonable expectation based on evidence that the sun will rise tomorrow!”
It pains me to say this because I have faith that it’s going to upset you, but you have just expressed your faith in Science. Using science, you cannot prove the sun came up yesterday. In fact, science can’t prove that there even WAS a ‘yesterday.’ Even if it were possible to run a ‘yesterday experiment’ to prove, beyond all doubt, that yesterday happened; it would be by faith that you accept the results of that experiment.
Knowledge and faith are inseparable. You can’t conduct science unless you have faith that your senses are telling the truth. You can’t think without faith that your mind is reliable. You appeal to my faith when you tell me that you exist. Then you mock that same faith when it tells me God exists.
Every single moment of every single day, every single living person accepts countless propositions on faith. When an atheist tells me (as they often do) that they do not need faith because they have ‘evidence’ for every single one of their beliefs — they are simply lying.
(Mark 4:24) Then [Jesus] added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.”

In short, atheism is a catastrophic failure of both faith and reason. Since atheism is 100% faith-based that means the atheist walks around arguing with himself and losing, all day, everyday.
