Most argumentative threads with atheists could easily be nipped in the bud by asking “Does objective truth exist?”
Ark’s truth statement about Jesus not existing has been falsified by this post and the spinoff links it contained. His continued insistence on his lie being true, only speaks to the probability that he does not believe truth exists.
If you think we can get Ark (et. al.) to stop talking just because we ask a good question, you haven’t been paying attention. 🙂

John,
When it comes to proof and evidence, their unbelief is not passive, but active. I wonder what their response would be if the Lord appeared bodily to them and introduced Himself. Would they put their fingers in their ears, close their eyes and say “La la la la. I am not listening to Jeffrey.”
I am still waiting for an answer I posed to the unbelievers in an earlier post, about whether they would believe in God, if ever offered the proof they say is lacking. The other option I offered was that perhaps they really do believe in God’s existence, but reject and hate Him, and no level of proof would change their stance.
Dave
Romans 1:18-21 (ESV) – For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
“Hallucination,” Dave. That’s my guess at their excuse.
“Hallucination” still sounds like a somewhat natural explanation–even though, by definition, it means seeing something that isn’t physically there.
Thus, if God appeared to many Atheists, they would visit their shrinks for a big, fat dose of whatever brew is supposed to make a human normal. 🙂
And by normal, you mean “atheist”.
By “normal” I mean “like psychiatrists.”
🙂
This proves nothing, JB!
The box doesn’t say, “Jesus was God in the flesh, and therefore, everything that Jesus’ followers said about him is true.”
And, until you find a rock that says THAT, then I will still have great excuses to throw out everything in the Bible.
Come to think of it, even if you DO find a rock that says what I want it to say, I’ll still make up excuses. So, again, this proves nothing.
