waterfall in mountainous terrain with evergreen forest against cloudy sky

More than 15 minutes ago somebody said that everyone gets 15 minutes of fame. When your moment of fame is over you need to get off the stage so someone else can have their 15 minutes in the spotlight. So, even though I’ll be called a ‘fascist’ and a ‘snowflake’ and a ‘hater of liberty’ for saying this, it’s time to let Kyle Rittenhouse leave the stage.

He recently announced his plans to become a lawyer. And while there is nothing wrong with practicing law (Note: I passed up the opportunity to tell a lawyer joke), Kyle’s comment indicates that he’s still in a highly agitated state of mind.

“I want to go against corrupt piece of s*** prosecutors like Thomas Binger, and put them in their place and make sure they never practice law again.” – Kyle Rittenhouse, 2021

Kyle is entitled to whatever emotions he’s feeling. The ordeal he suffered would give any normal person a good reason to be upset. I’m not criticizing Kyle Rittenhouse. I’m criticizing you!

You are part of the schoolyard mob, gathered around a bullied child, encouraging him to throw a punch. The kid has been pummeled and you’re shouting, “Are you going to let the bully get away with that?”

Of course, the bully hasn’t “gotten away with” anything. Remember? Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty. It was just 15 minutes ago that you were shouting, “Justice was done! The system works!” If that’s true, then what will you accomplish when you destroy Binger’s career? Justice was done. Why aren’t you content?

I know. It’s because you weren’t really interested in justice. You were only interested in victory. Mere justice doesn’t satisfy when you’re thirsty for blood.

But justice is not the same thing as vengeance. The problem of corrupt prosecutors is not solved by vindictive defense attorneys. If you want to watch a fight, tune in to MMA. Kyle’s 15 minutes of fame are over and encouraging him to stay in the spotlight for your amusement is only going to hurt him in the long run.

It is hypocrisy of the highest order to condemn the vigilante justice of BLM rioters while encouraging Kyle Rittenhouse to nurture his bitter grudge. Kyle needs some time to allow his emotions to settle. Stop goading him back into the riot.

“A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.”
