Okay men, listen up! You need to step up and love your wives! That’s biblical. Love them like Christ loves the church. No excuses. No exceptions. Love your wives!

Okay gals, listen up! You need to stop using your husband’s shortcomings to excuse your own sinful rebellion. That’s biblical. Submit to your husband like Christ submitted to The Father.

“John, you jerk!!! What about when a husband is involved in the occult and he throws puppies into fires and demands that his wife dance naked on a satanic altar?!!!!! WHAT ABOUT THAT??!!!”

Husbands should not demand their wives violate the teaching of scripture. That wouldn’t be loving them like Christ loves the church. However, I haven’t seen evidence that the church is chock full of husbands forcing their wives to worship Satan. I’m inclined to believe this scenario is fabricated to help Christian women justify undermining the authority of their imperfect husbands.

I’ve seen plenty of evidence to suggest that lots and lots and lots and LOTS of women dictate how their husbands must ‘love them.’ These women seem to believe their obedience to scripture is contingent on their husband’s leadership. Feminism (not the Bible) teaches these ladies that they need not submit to their husband when he doesn’t meet their standards of headship.

Sorry, ladies. You don’t get to blow-up your family just because your husband isn’t following Jesus. Biblical instructions apply to Christian wives even when their husbands have no regard for the Bible. Two “wrongs” never make a “right.”

To summarize: Men, love your wives!

(1 Corinthians 7:13) And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
