I’ve been in Hawaii this week.
For several reasons, I don’t take many vacation pictures:
1. My wife takes pictures of EVERYTHING.
2. Looking at other people’s vacation pictures is usually tedious.
3. I always forget.
However, I did manage to take a few pictures which I will share here.
As an olive branch to the heathen, I speak only ‘naturalism’ in the captions.
Rocks on the beach near our condo. Every wave created a new arrangement of colors and shapes. It was fascinating.
Sunset on Maui. Particles in the atmosphere scatter the light from the sun creating colors that stimulated a chemical response in my brain.
An ancient tidal surge deposited this lumber centuries ago. My brain has evolved to seek patterns so I thought this pile kind of looked like a house.
Heavy rains carve cuts in the rocks all over the island. This particular ravine so closely resembled stairs that it almost seemed intentional.
Lava rock collects in these wall structures precisely along property lines! Sometimes, nature almost seems to ‘think’.
Somehow, the universe provided these red, sign-like structures near dangerous cliffs. We never saw these things on the beaches!
That’s all for now.
The rest of my pictures have religious significance to me so I’ll save them.
Aloha!

The deposited lumber caught my attention. Amazing find!

John,
That was really funny. Well done.
