A week before Christmas, Pkarlgh! We’re in a festive mood. Tabby passes on her father-in-law’s wisdom regarding Amish people. We talk about losing children and sticking beans up noses. Mandy shares about how a salad crushed her soul. Coffee is better with cinnamon and love. Collin has a crush on Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” but he denies it. I make a recommendation for a game you should play with family over the Holidays.

Okay, so I feel that I’ve given it a fair shake for long enough… but the intro is offensive to my ears every time I hear it. My vote (which is so valuable, I know ^_-) is to go back just to the “Welcome to the podcast” and baseline that was the golden standard.
Beyond that, I want to say that I enjoyed the coffee tips and the Floridian anecdotes. Also, I do thin One Night Ultimate x is great for many situations. The guy that does the voice on the App also does a podcast – he talks about some situations where he’ll be at conventions and see a group playing the game. He’ll sneak up on them during the night phase and say something like “Everyone, throw your hands in air, like you just don’t care” or some other crazy instruction. ^_^
Also, being from central PA (another plain-folk area), I appreciated the Amish insights as well. It was some top-level journalism, right there.
And by baseline, I meant bass line…. but I guess baseline also was correct, since it was expectation for so long…?
The Peaches insisted that an introduction was necessary to give people an idea what to expect. I’m sure she will have a comment on this topic.
I think it’s fair to say that listeners should expect having their ears offended sometimes… In which case, it’s an appropriate introduction.
Wait…was the goal to make the intro offensive?
If so, then mission accomplished. I mean… It’s obnoxious. And I mean, everyone has good ideas… And some ideas around a matter of taste… But, I feel pretty confident that this is not either of those. I’m willing to give you a “good try” though. Final offer.
