I’m kind of busy today creating humor about the bleak future of America so this isn’t going to be terribly long, but I want to throw out a few thoughts that will either encourage or enrage you depending on your walk with Jesus.
Politicians Are Corrupt
How can you tell if a politician is lying? His lips are moving. That joke has been around for centuries. Politicians are greedy, selfish, power-hungry liars. You know that. You joke about that. So it makes no sense to throw your hands up in despair when politicians act like politicians.
You Voted for These People
I hear you screaming, “NO! I DID NOT! I VOTED FOR THE OTHER GUYS!” Shush! You voted for a politician. Regardless of what it says on your favorite candidate’s website, you voted for a morally bankrupt, self-seeking, tyrant in the making.
Believing that your candidate would bring ‘hope and change’ or ‘drain the swamp’ was a setup for massive disappointment. (If you voted for Biden, then think back to how you felt when Trump was elected in 2016.) If you were an alligator, would you drain the swamp where you live?
God Judges Rightly
The very first commandment God chiseled into stone tablets was, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” As He was carving those words into a rock, God’s people were busy putting another god before Him. That’s what we do every election cycle. We desperately campaign for our guy because if he/she isn’t elected, “America is doomed!” Christians bring God into politics rather than bringing their politics before God. We call mere people, “The Lord’s instrument,” as if The One who fashioned planets needs tools. God knows we have broken the commandment against idolatry.
God Is Mocking You
The kings of the earth take their stand
Psalm 2:2
and the rulers gather together
against the Lord
and against his Anointed One.
“Let us break their chains,” they say,
“and throw off their fetters.”
The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
The Church Is Not Doomed
The Church is the beloved bride of Christ. She is the reason He left heaven and died on a cross. The crucifixion was the actual ‘draining of the swamp.’ Jesus washed the stain of corruption and sin off His precious church. She does not live in the quagmire of politics anymore. She cannot be corrupted.
Who Do You Trust?
It matters a lot where you get your ‘news.’ No media outlet tells the truth. They’re just as corrupt as the politicians (because they are people too). If your faith is in CNN or Fox, you’re worshiping a false god.
What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar.
Romans 3:3
Trusting Congress to behave righteously is calling God a liar.
Jesus is the only source of Truth. If you are in The Church, you will not be destroyed by riots or laws or tyranny or disease. If you are in The Church, you aren’t surprised by the corruption happening before your eyes.

I stopped praying for mercy. I am praying for judgment. The minute prayers to Brahma and the god of all faiths were offered in the House of Representatives I was done. There is not even pretense anymore.
It’s time for the end. Final chapter. I can’t wait for the return of the Father!
Even so Lord, quickly come.
In the meantime, buckle up. It’s going to be a wild ride.
Praying for the lost, speaking the truth, and thanking God for his goodness!
Spiritual wickedness in high places plotting evil continually will probably be winning a few more battle before they lose the war.
Gird up our loins as God told Job. Let’s get to work spreading truth.
