“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.” – C.S. Lewis, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Wow. Haha.
Safe is so boring and maybe why some can’t take the community of faith serious. Following God was safe for His son and may not be safe for those that follow.
How about dos piece of truth?: “Many self-professed Christians want a belief system that fits their lifestyles rather than a faith that their lives must conform to. The bottom line is that we do not want to surrender to the truth; we want the truth to surrender to our desires and opinions.” -Glenn Meldrum, Crisis in the Church Pt. II: The Problem of Surrender
We are vaccinated with just enough Christianity we don’t catch the whole thing.
Jeff Lanej: That’s a great line!
Ouch.
Burn.
And true.
Outreach is so..yesterday.
Thanks for posting this! 🙂 Reminds me of “Do Hard Things” by the Harris twins. Getting out of our comfort zone is part of growing.
Sounds like the Democrat Party Book of Lies.
Please, no politics.
Just love.
Church: a safe place to think about the cross. Um, wait a second…
Bite your tongue.
Which is why you don’t see much in the way of discipleship these days. When no one is accountable, very few ever grow, and fewer stay involved.
