What sound does the moon make? I’ll give you time to ponder that question. Take as long as you need. When you think you have the answer, read on.
If your answer is, “The moon is silent,” well done!
Have you ever looked up at the moon and been struck by the violence? If you have, please seek professional psychiatric help. If you have never equated silence with violence, then your brain is functioning correctly. Read on.
One of the methods of oppression that evil people use to control you is redefining the meaning of words. Often times, a neutral word is redefined to mean something sinister. For example, “Silence is violence.” The only thing about this phrase that’s true is it rhymes. Everyone (except for those who need psychiatric help) knows this statement is a lie.
The person using this phrase doesn’t actually believe it. They have heard the moon. They are accusing you of doing evil by NOT commenting on some political or social issue. Most of the time, their perspective on the issue is wrong. It’s so wrong, that everyone (except for those who need psychiatric help) recognizes it as absurd and dismisses it. Normal people don’t even bother responding. Absurdity doesn’t require commentary.
Evil people never give up a fight just because their ideas are terrible. When you refuse to agree with their opinions, evil people start redefining words to make YOU look like the bad guy. The most desperately wicked people will say that keeping quiet is violent opposition. They want you to believe they are surrounded by enemies. The truth is, they are simply being ignored.
Numerous ancient phrases express the virtues of silence.
“Silence is golden.”
“Think before you speak.”
“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
“Better to be quiet and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
“Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.”
– Psalm 31:18
When those who oppress, destroy, maim, lie, and kill claim that your silence is doing violence, it’s okay to break your silence to laugh.
One Response
My only critique is that the silence of the moon is not the same as the silence of ignoring stupidity. The moon can’t speak. We can, and our silence speaks volumes which often offends those who crave to be agreed with.
