Gravity is a universal constant. We can’t muck around with it. Because God knows we would.

We’d be adjusting it all the time.

Changing it to do “good things”.

Prevent avalanches.

Stop bathroom falls.

End skydiving fatalities.

Save lives.

Fix problems.

…and ultimately destroy life on Earth.

Our attempts to fix the problems that come from stuff falling down would absolutely make everything worse.

We can’t survive without some fixed regulations. So the rules of Gravity are off limits. God doesn’t give us dominion over gravity or the rules of physics.

But there are other rules that He gives us latitude. God lets us play around with certain rules.

Morality and ethics, for example.

We play with those all the time.

Change them to do “good things”.

Create equality.

Build self esteem.

Foster inclusiveness.

Eliminate judgement.

Fix problems.

We “evolve” our morals to match the wisdom of the age. Morality is just a construct of culture. Right and wrong change with the times.

Ancient tradition is of no value today. We have no use or respect for the ten commandments.

We’re smarter than our ancestors. We’ve got cell phones and satellites and we think our technology validates our morality.

So since we’re stuck with gravity, let’s muck around with morals!

Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.
