A tuna fish swam into a net which scooped him from the sea.
Hapless tuna, cried with rage, “Intolerable travesty!”
“This wretched net impedes my plans of great cosmic importance!”
“I’ve songs to sing, and dreams to dream, and joyful dances to dance!”
Straight away the tuna died as did all his lofty wishes.
The supremacy of mankind’s will trumps the whims of fishes.
A goldfish swam into a net and pulled from store tank water,
His status as a birthday gift saved him from certain slaughter.
This one achieved a purpose not afforded fish in the wild.
He was more than just a fish when he was noticed by a child.
And a child can give purpose to a beast, a bird or a cod.
For every child’s notice is made significant by God.

You’re acting as if fish are less than human.*
First of all – they’re our cousins!

Kevin,
When you put “Nameless in Alabama”, it makes me thing of “Sleepless in Seattle”, which, to my great pride and honor, I have never seen.

Philippians 2:9-11 (ESV) – Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
John,
That was cool.

Matthew 6:26 (ESV) – Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
