Good news, Alcoholics!
There’s hope.
Not silly, stupid “God” hope
Real hope.
Science hope!
I found this hope filled article in The Atlantic
It’s pretty long so I’ll summarize:
Alcoholics Anonymous is irrational.
If you’re a member of AA, you might disagree.
You’re being irrational.
There is a better way to kick your addiction to alcohol.
…addiction to drugs.
Science has discovered
(probably…for now…they think)
that addiction is a complex, mental disorder.
It’s definitely not spiritual.
So God’s no help.
Mental disorders are outside his jurisdiction.
He can’t help you with a dependency.
Naltrexone can.
And drugs work all by themselves.
No 12 steps.
No stopping of bad habits.
No personal responsibility.
No accountability.
This stuff is a godsend!
Sure, millions of people claim that AA works.
But remember,
…those people are irrational.
Whacko.
People who let shame change their behavior.
People who give heed to a guilty conscience.
People who believe themselves to be more than conquerors.
Kooks.
Thanks to The Atlantic for reminding us that
faith is great for Sunday morning but
it can’t solve REAL problems.
Unless it’s faith in science.
