One of the worst ideas you’ve ever had is using polling data to formulate your opinions on moral issues like marriage, climate change, shedding innocent blood or confusing children about their gender. I realize that 62% of you are too offended by the first sentence to finish reading this post but I’m going to continue anyway because I don’t use polling data to decide what’s right and wrong.
When done ‘correctly,’ a poll samples a large group of people with different backgrounds. The poll seeks to keep discrimination and bias to a minimum by random selection. That means every poll mixes my thoughts with people who drive drunk, can’t read, vote for Biden, can’t tell men from women, hate capitalism yet love their iPhone, think killing babies is empowering but silence is violence and countless other crackpot ideas. In other words, polling data is deliberately tainted with the perspective of morons.
When the number of morons in the poll is small, I will be falsely encouraged by the results. “Look at that! 56% of Americans agree with me! That must mean that I’m right.” But the results of the exact same poll will be different when it contains a higher percentage of idiot responses.
This is why you should never, ever, ever, ever, ever use polling data to decide about important, moral issues. For every poll that says, “56% of Americans support a ban of sex-change procedures for children under 18,” there is a poll that says, “56% of evangelicals favor denying children of their right to pursue happiness.” (It’s the same poll.)
Even when the majority of the population believes it; that doesn’t mean it’s true. The majority of Americans don’t have a problem with fornication. There’s so little concern that we don’t even use the word anymore. Our attitude is that nothing is off-limits to consenting adults. Polling data shows that calling a slut, ‘a slut,’ makes YOU the bad person.
The majority of Americans think all religion is essentially the same and it doesn’t matter whether you’re a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Satanist, Humanist, or non-religious. The majority agrees that you should be ‘a good person’ whatever that means to you. If you agree, you’re not a Christian. You’re a secularist.
Christians believe that it’s impossible to be ‘a good person.’ God is the only good thing in the Universe. God mercifully offers grace to bad people through Jesus Christ. These opinions come from the Bible, not from polling morons. Building your religion from poll results is one of the worst ideas you’ve ever had.
(Psalm 107:1) “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say this— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,”

Just realizing how long it’s been since I heard the word “slut” goes to show how far our countries have descended into the sexual free for all they’ve been screaming for…… totally shameless.
