The only reason I know the name Virginia Giuffre is because the media has made me aware of some terrible scandal involving she and Prince Andrew. Apparently, she brought charges of abuse against the Andrew for some stuff that happened while on Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous island. I’m sure it’s very sordid, awful, and embarrassing.

Because the media has made me aware of it, I know that Virginia Guiffre has settled out of court with Andrew for an undisclosed amount of money which answers the question that everyone has been asking for many years: “Why do rich, powerful men get away with abusing women?” Because women don’t mind being abused when the price is right.

There’s a word for a person who exchanges sexual favors for money. It’s on the tip of my tongue. Maybe I’ll think of it in a moment but in the meantime, let me explain why Andrew’s statement in the settlement is comical:

“Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein and commends the bravery of Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others…”

There’s little doubt that Andrew ‘regrets’ his association with Epstein. EVERYONE regrets their association with Epstein. The hilarious part of the statement is that I’m expected to believe the Prince ‘commends’ Ms. Giuffre for her ‘bravery.’ If he had said he ALSO regrets his association with Ms. Giuffre, that would make sense. She is as predatory as Jeffrey Epstein and himself. A wise man would learn a lesson about hanging around women who are…oh…what’s the word?

But Andrew is rich and powerful so the rules are different for him. He isn’t held accountable for his sin because he can buy illegal services from teenage girls. Guiffre’s settlement was not ‘brave.’ She completed a transaction. This sends the message to other teenage girls that handing yourself over to be used by rich guys can be profitable as long as you claim that you didn’t like it. There’s real power in victimhood.

To clarify my position for the angry people with low reading comprehension, Prince Andrew is a selfish monster. He should be punished for any crimes he has committed. If he abused Virginia Guiffre, he should suffer the same consequences as someone who isn’t a member of the Royal family. At the same time, Virginia Guiffre is a greedy, self-serving, um…PROSTITUTE!! That’s the word I was looking for!

Guiffre’s settlement has enabled Andrew (and others like him) to continue their crime spree. There’s an old joke that goes:

Old Man: Will you sleep with me for ten million dollars?

Young Girl: Sure!

Old Man: Will you sleep with me for ten bucks?

Young Girl: (Angry) What kind of girl do you think I am?

Old Man: I know what kind of girl you are. Now I’m just negotiating price.

It should be obvious to all but the dimmest among us that Virginia Guiffre was not standing up for women. She is just an opportunist. She and Andrew made a great couple.

A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth. (Proverbs 29:3)
