Words have consequences.
Sometimes the consequences are unpleasant.
Years ago, when we were a nation of rational, healthy human beings we had an expression:
“I put my foot in my mouth.”
This phrase represented our understanding that we had spoken carelessly.
Again, this was a long time ago when we thought ourselves capable errors.
Nobody puts his foot in his mouth anymore.
We are a nation of victims.
If I have a foot in my mouth, it’s only because somebody else kicked me in the teeth.
(Probably Trump.)
You can’t hold me accountable for what I say when I’m emotional.
(And I’m always emotional.)
From this tattered emotional state, I’m going to respond to some actual words said by an actual person on actual Twitter.
(Instead of actually defending or apologizing for the actual words, the actual person actually deleted everything which always triggers me.)

There will be renewed calls for civility. Ignore them. They ask for civility as a way for you to grant them complicity in what they do.
Civility is for normalcy. When things are normal and working as intended, civility is part of maintaining balance. But when that balance is gone, civility does not help return it but rather, destabilize it further. Because your civility gives them cover for evil.
ME: You’re mad about Brett Kavanaugh. You think he’s gonna wave his hand and abortion will be illegal. But calm down! Supreme Court Justices don’t have X-Men powers.
For now “everything is working as intended” and civility is giving cover to the act of chopping up babies before they are born. We’re maintaining balance!

Note: this isn’t the same as calling for violence. But it is suggesting that you should not be shamed for using vigorous, vulgar language. Or for standing up in disobedience. Or for demanding acknowledgement and action in whatever way you must.
ME:Â I’m relieved to see that you’re calling for a non-violent end to civility. It would be irresponsible to suggest disorderly disobedience.
“Never Ashamed of Vulgarity” would be an excellent democratic campaign slogan.
Word of caution, Conservatives have more guns than you guys.
Fuck Trump. But he’s just the ugly fake-gold mask they’ve put on this thing. Fuck all the GOP, fuck that blubbering, bristling frat boy judge, fuck McConnell, Ryan, Grassley, Collins, every last one of them. Fuck them for how they’ve shamed victims and helped dismantle democracy.
ME: Right on!  I don’t understand the “fake-gold mask” thing but all the “F” words made-up for the incoherence.
And since I’m writing this article shaming you for being a victim of your own stupidity – “F” me too!
Lamenting a dismantled democracy while calling for anarchy is inspiring! It takes a lot of courage to publicize beliefs that aren’t grounded in sensibility.
They will tell you to smile, that we need to get back to business, that we gotta heal the rift and blah blah blah — but that’s the desire of a savvy bully, who wants you to stop crying after he hit you, who wants you not to fight back. But you can cry. And you can fight back.
ME: Nobody got hit. Nobody even took a swing at you. You’re talking about a Supreme Court confirmation like it’s an MMA cage match. There is no reason to “fight back”. Nobody is fighting you.
If you want to give weight to your “bully” accusation, send a letter to congress describing the time you were at a party with Kavanaugh and he stuffed you in a locker while Donald Trump laughed.
They can eat shit. All of them. They can eat a boot covered in shit.
Winter is coming, you callous fucknecks, you prolapsed assholes, you grotesque monsters, you racists and rapists and wretched abusers, you vengeful petty horrors.

I know some “vengeful petty horrors” personally and I’ve never heard them talk like you. The “prolapsed assholes”, whom I call friends, don’t need to delete their comments. Most of the “wretched abusers” in my life are too busy working, raising kids, and following the Golden Rule to notice that you’ve made a suggestion about what they should eat.
Vote In The Midterms
When members of Congress encourage harassment, they are creating more victims.
If you care about victims, you’ll vote against pro-abuse legislators.

The most Christian, evangelical nation in the West is also the most dysfunctional.
The most economically depressed countries in Europe tend to be the most devout.
The most fanatical nation states in the Arab world tend to be the theocratic ones.

What they are doing is really cowardly. They are terrified of anyone they think might fight back. They leave Muslims alone. They just try to buy their votes.
Anyone they expect to follow the rules of proper decorum they vilify, thinking they won’t fight back. Kind of stupid. The very people they are trying to destroy are only ones who support the laws which protect them.

I have to admit it. That guy makes a lot of sense. I’m starting to think that voting for Trump was a terrible decision. I mean, lower taxes, reduced threats from illegals, terrorists and North Korea and the lowest unemployment in American history aside, you have to admit that Trump IS a Republican, and they refused to jail Brett K merely because there was no reason to. That practically makes them Nazis, because those facist jerks also refused to legally punish people without due process (except Gypsies, Jews, Christians, etc).
