I want to be divorced.

And I want to keep my wife.

Cause I love her.

Some of you bigots think divorce should only be for people who want to separate.

People who don’t like each other.

That’s a traditional view of divorce.

Narrow.

Old fashioned.

Divorce should be open to everyone.

Even single people.

Divorce should be the first step in forming a family.

After the divorce, my wife and I will still live together.

We’ll share a last name.

File a joint tax return.

Keep our assets combined.

We’ll keep wearing our rings too.

Traditionalists will object.

“That’s not a real divorce,” they’ll say.

So sad.

Haters gotta hate.

Our love defies definition.
