  1. The original article is one of the most bigoted racist articles I’ve ever read. It does a lot of presuming on the author’s part that he knows what every white Christian has gone through in their lives. I am white and I am a Christian, however, I have lived a significant part of my life in countries where because of my skin color people knew I was an American and because of that the local people held certain views and opinions of me. I was denied services, watched like a hawk when I went into stores, refused admittance to many places and pulled over by the police for any excuse. None of it made me bitter nor did it make me want to riot and burn. The orginal author’s presumation however is extremly racist and needs to be pointed out.

The original article itself refutes the original authors second point since he presumes I am lacking the ability to empathize and sympathize with blacks. Then he turns around and tells me since I lack these character traits I should just keep my mouth shut. Which means the author thinks since I am white and Christian I am also character defiecient.

The author doesn’t even give me a choice about who I should be angrier with, I am assuming he thinks I should be angrier with the police who accidently killed a small time criminal then the black rioters who deliberately burned down their own city.

Since when did two wrongs make something right? Since when should I keep my opinion to myself about sin. Does the original author also think since I haven’t shared a meal with these people that I shouldn’t use my resources and abilities to share the gospel with them and if he thinks I should share the gospel with them how can I do so without pointing out their sin?

I wonder how far would he care such a warpped line of reasoning, I never shared a meal with the Nazis nor are their stories my stories should I also withhold my opinion on them as well. Never shared a meal with the ISIS terrorists and their stories aren’t my story shoul I not be angry with them.

Your response was great I loved it! Pointing out the flaws in this line of thinking with humor and truth.

    1. Thanks for the thoughtful response, Arthur. I dare you to post these sentiments in the comments of the other author’s blog. See how long they stay there.

  2. Wow! My eyes are open! I never knew how irrelevant my opinions are solely because of my skin color and religion! My life is changed forever.

    1. That’s great, Lizzie. Unfortunately, because of your skin color, it doesn’t matter that your life is changed forever.

  3. Oh I [don’t] get it! Because I haven’t eaten brunch with rioters from Baltimore, I can’t say it’s wrong to commit crimes. Or do I still not understand?
