Christians provide many services to mankind.

They feed the hungry.

They shelter the orphan.

They offer hope to the hopeless.

And perhaps most importantly, they provide content for godless bloggers.

In fact, Christianity is the ONLY topic for godless blogs.

Really!

Creativity, humor, curiosity, and wit come from God.

Pagans lose all of those things when they toss God out of their lives.

Atheism is “content free” by definition.

You can’t write a blog without content!

So, the humorless, witless, uncreative heathen need Jesus!

Every thought references Christianity.

Every conversation circles back to “religion”.

Pagan ideas can’t stand by themselves.

Pagan ideas are just criticisms of Christianity.

See?

Without Christianity, pagans can’t even discuss school shootings.

Notice the quote:

“use of the term evil implies…spiritual concern that no remedy beyond a divine one can address.”

That’s exactly right!

That is exactly what the term implies!

Do you think the pagans went on to discuss the implications of dealing with evil in secular terms?

…of course not.

Because discussing evil from a secular perspective requires thoughtfulness and introspection.

Pagans don’t do “thoughtful”.

That’s the point.

A godless blogger doesn’t need ideas.

A godless blogger just needs Christianity!

  1. Thanks, John, for providing honor and value to what we do. I’m so glad I’ve been able to “bless” atheists with content so that they can stay up all night bloviating and making vacuously incoherent accusations to feed their own ego. It’s really a beautiful expression of other-centered, self-giving love, isn’t it. 🙂

  2. John, I think you’ve stated this before, the reason they cannot handle opinions that depart from their own views is because that would require reasoned debate; to explain, using logic, evidence, facts, and substantive arguments as to why our viewpoints are wrong. This kind of civil discourse is obviously not important to them. They prefer to engage in unreasoned speech: hurling slurs and epithets, name-calling, disaparaging speech, mindless labeling, and the misuse of scripture, in order to reject the views of Christians, all without providing reasoned arguments. It’s a sign of the times…and it is dominated and perpetuated by those on the left end of the political spectrum. Hurling such labels as “hate speech”, “self righteous virtue”, “xenophobes”, “bigots”, “mystics”, “raving lunatics”, “idiots”, all the way to “racists”, “pacifists” etc. does nothing to promote, enlighten, inform, edify, or educate. Instead, it undermines these goals by discouraging or stifling dissent. They use words like “attack” and “damage”; words one would use with enemies not fellow citizens. Then they epitomize those very things they accuse us of in the very posture of their conversations. They certainly do not encourage the expression of unpopular, or differing viewpoints. It’s a reflection of a nature hostile to such ideas, a nature that’s sole purpose is to punish even the expression of different viewpoints. So much for “free expression”, “free speech”, “diversity”, “equality”, “love”, “tolerance”, right? It’s only when confronted with speech these people don’t like that we really see whether their self proclaimed concepts are real to them; and isn’t it rather obvious that they are not?! So, isn’t it apparent that atheists have only opinions, while Christians have conviction? Atheists do not understand the concept of conviction, any more than they understand the concept of tolerance, because they only have the desire to know their own side of the case (and very little of that as evidenced by their prideful blog-blather)…..and are not open to anything different. So much for diversity. Their only goal is to denigrate and therefore divert the conversation to discourage dissent and truth, in order to rationalize their irrational belief, because they honestly cannot do otherwise. So, until their hearts are indwelled with the Holy Spirit and enlightened to truth, they have nothing noteworthy to contribute to society. We don’t need to spend a lot of time blogging with the irrational to recognize how far from the truth they are. I heard an example the other day: bank tellers only need to learn to identify the real bills, in order to readily identify the fake ones. They do not need to waste time learning to identify all of the fake ones first. Likewise, genuine Christians will have the conviction of truth. Of course, we can certainly speak out in the truth, and should, as the Spirit leads us; but let’s not waste time trying to learn all about the falseness of unbelievers or be dragged down by their drivel. We’re better than that. Let’s pray for them to be saved from themselves, instead.

  3. I couldn’t understand why a prominent atheist kept vilifying sainted Mother Teresa, who had never even interacted with him. All she did was to keep taking care of the dying unwanted in India, treating each one as though they were Christ personified.

I met some of her Sisters once. Amazing women! Gentle, loving, good-humored, nurturing, kind – not a mean bone in their bodies.

I could never understand the intense hatred the atheist had toward them.

Thank you for your post, John. This sadly fits with what I saw.

    1. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The work of Roman Catholic nun, missionary, and saint Mother Teresa received mixed reactions from prominent people, governments and organizations. Her practices and those of the Missionaries of Charity, the order she founded, were subject to numerous controversies. These include objections to the quality of medical care they provided, suggestions that some deathbed baptisms constituted forced conversion, and alleged links to colonialism and racism. Teresa received extensive media coverage, and some critics suggest that the Church used her image to promote Catholicism and to distract from ecclesiastical scandals.

If you look hard enough you will find eye witnesses and more details that support this, there is no smoke without fire, but for many people it is just best they just look away.

      1. You should find somebody with a 3rd-grade reading comprehension level to explain the post to you. I’ll remove your comment as a show of mercy if you can explain why you’re feeling embarrassed for writing it.

        1. Tell me again about all those atheist built hospitals and colleges. And remind me of all those non-profit charities they have started. It’s easy to sit in the stands and criticize those on the playing field.

    2. Dear John,

I thought you might enjoy this story.
Dr. Lombardi told this at a Moth Radio Hour event, several years ago. It’s among my favorite Moth stories.

While listening to it, again, I’m reminded about what you said in your post about creativity and humor. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, and as much as I treasure your stories, sense of humor and creativity.
